]]> Content Credentials is de consumentvriendelijke term voor een C2PA Manifest. Waar C2PA de technische standaard is, zijn Content Credentials de zichtbare implementatie die gebruikers tegenkomen in software zoals Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom en op verificatiewebsites.

Adobe beschrijft Content Credentials als “een voedingslabel voor digitale content”: informatie over herkomst, creatie en bewerkingsgeschiedenis, ingebed in het bestand zelf. De term wordt gebruikt in gebruikersinterfaces, persberichten en productcommunicatie.

Technisch zijn Content Credentials en C2PA Manifesten hetzelfde. De Content Credentials van een bestand bevatten dezelfde cryptografisch ondertekende informatie: GPS-coördinaten, tijdstempel, camera-identificatie, bewerkingsgeschiedenis en hash-waarde. Voor auditors en technische documentatie wordt meestal de term C2PA gebruikt; voor communicatie naar eindgebruikers Content Credentials.
